It is important that you take all your medications as prescribed. Inform your physician of all your medications, including over-the-counter medications, vitamins and herbal supplements. Ask your physician if you can take your medications orally or if you must administer them through your feeding tube.
Your Heartland Nutrition Team works with your physician to monitor your tube feeding, but we cannot do this without your help! Your physician and the Heartland Nutrition Team are relying on you to alert us when you notice changes in your symptoms. It is helpful to keep this information together in a notebook or on a calendar that you can bring to your physician appointments.
